      It's not a question or easy. It's a question of whether your notebook has the right program installed and can run it at all. There are several softwares designed to track your Macbook, but they're not free and you need to register when you still have the Macbook, not after it's already gone. You can see links to a few of them here (the links are about tracking an ipod, but it works on other Mac products too).
