I'm thinking that perhaps this is the same type of problem that people who upgraded Internet Explorer have experienced since Firefox Bookmarks and IE Favorites are the same thing.
I never tried Firefox until lately so I haven't upgraded it, but I do know that I have to click on the orange box at the upper lefthand corner to get to the Bookmarks. Hope this helps.
