Actually it from a bacteria.

Presently, it is accepted that the bacterial organism Helicobacter pylori is the cause of both stomach and duodenal ulcers. Approximately 95% of persons with gastric ulcers, and 100% of persons with chronic gastritis have this bacterium within the stomach.
