    whyare the leaves on my Japenese maple tree wilting now after I put it in a larger pot?

    I just purchaced the tree yesterday and brought it home in my car with the windows closed & the AC on. I left it in the car for 5-7 min....but then went to unload it, that's when we saw the leaves wilted. Will it come back?

    as freedomfighter had mentioned it has gone into shock make sure you have really watered this plant it should recover in a couple of days good luck mel
    i have one and it withstands all sorts of weather ... maybe call a nursery in your area to find out what's wrong.
    when you transplant there is something that you can put in the hole before you put the tree into the pot. your tree is probably going through transplant shock. good luck.
    If it was transplanted into another pot, it probably has root shock, especially if you put fertilizer in the base. Remove the tree again and remove the fertilizer. If this isn't the case, then keep the soil moist and it should come back.
