    Notify Medicare concerning the death of your loved one, and they can give you further information concerning their medicare statements. Sorry for your lost.
    Unfortunately, not very long...sorry to hear if you have lost a loved one...as long as Medicare has been contacted and spoken to and have given the go ahead to dispose of those documents...you can shred...(:
