    1. Law . the official proving of a will as authentic or valid in a probate court.

    2. an officially certified copy of a will so proved.

    Executors work with the Attorney who oversees the Will, signs paperwork to approve payment of bills out of the estate and final paperwork for division of the estate of those that have an interest in the estate.

    The way most will work is that all bills and expenses are paid out first then the leftover is divided among the family, friends and charities named in the will.

    Probate also includes the Probate Court which oversees all last wills and testaments within it's jurisdiction and settles all disputes.
    The process of legally establishing the validity of a will before a judicial authority.
