I have an apple so I do not have windows installed but several years ago on my old Dell computer I kept upgrading my Internet Explorer and went over what my computer would actually hold and work with. I called their tech. support and even though the guy was located in the country India he was very very helpful and he helped me on the phone delete the one that my computer actually did not have the capacity to work and helped to to re download the old version and told me not to go over that version. I found them to be very helpful indeed. Maybe you could try that? Hope that helps?

This question was answered several times before. Someone mentioned that you could do a System Restore which is F11 and bring the computer back to a time before you upgraded to the IE9 or you can try this download: http://internet-explorer-8.en.malavida.com/
