The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. If you look out of you bedroom window, north is to your left and south is to you right... roughly, allowing for if the sun shines in directly or from a slight angle.

What's with the limit on vote-ups? I've only missed looking on site for about a day & a half & I find I've got one. I think good questions & answers should be marked up... now I've got to pick which, & how do you know what the next few might be?
