Considering that there are 3 fingers, a pinky and a thumb on each hand; if counting only the fingers, there would be: 6,000.

however, if you consider adding the pinky as part of the fingers, you would have: an additional 2000 parts or 8,000.

However, if you consider, adding the pinky and the thumb as part of the fingers of the whole hand, you would have: 10,000.

*PS: As much as I like to be right, I could very well be wrong. Unless, of course, someone puts their hand down. Depends on what you construe as the "fingers"
