The best drummer of all time would be Buddy Rich. At one time, B.R. held the Guinness Book record for fastest drummer. Ed Shaunasey (Not sure of his spelling) was the best drummer on television (Tonight Show Band) but the best drummer of all time in a rock band? Not sure because there have been several very good ones who are still working today. But they are not getting the credit they deserve because they do their jobs without trying to take center stage (pardon the pun). But if I had to point my finger at one guy, I'd say it is the drummer for... nope, can't do it.
