    Does a hospital have a time limit on submitting a bill for services.I received a bill that is for services from 16 months ago.

    Received the bill april 2, 2011 that was for $5,555.52. Called the hospital and they said we owed it.Contacted our insurance carrier & found out that they had paid 80% of total bill which was $11,574.00.Now after 16 months they want $1,504.62.Is there a time frame on this?

    Lucky you. My bill is usually at my house before "I" get there. But no, there is no time limit.
