    I have a apple mac. and I can't work out why it is so slow. I have cleared all the history but it's still slow

      Clearing your History means nothing. You need to clear out your tracking cookies.
      Click on TOOLS, then click INTERNET OPTIONS, click the DELETE BOX that says BROWSING HISTORY.
