      take it to any mechanic shop ...have the mechanic hook up a diagnostic unit...then have him reset the check engine light during diagnostic sounds confusing or expensive....but its not most mechanics will do it for free if nothing is wrong with your vehicle

        " Check the gas cap often times a loose gas cap will release vapors which in turn will trigger the engine light sensors to come on and stay on. It may also be that you need to replace the gas cap,pretty cheap do it yourself job."

            Just for the hell of it disconnect both terminals of your battery for 5 minutes. You will have to reset your clock and radio settings.
