      If you're using Gmail, to minimize the size of your font while writing an email, click the 5th button from the left above the text box. It's a small T and a large T icon. You can choose from 4 font sizes: small, normal, large, and huge.

        If... yes. I've answered these questions too and there are so many different types of email.

        Sometimes the only way is to create a new email and experiment. There will be a control on it somewhere, not just to change the font but the style as well.

        Click on everything, on the email itself and the various heading above it, if any.
