My daughter had her a Verizon phone stolen and texted it on another phone and said my husband is a high member of the Verizon origination and has located where you are right now if you return this phone now he will forget it, if not you will be prosecuted. She got a reply telling her where the phone would be at, and it was. Her husband did work for Verizon but was not high up.
