I'm no Athiest, but I think religion and religious activities are different things. Religion itself can be dangerous in some cases. Like beating up and killing homosexuals because "God" says that he hates them. There's also the holy rollers and the exclusivity. And so-called "High" Magick. High because it involves contracts with angels.
Dude this is like saying all black people are thieves or on welfare, you are out of line. There are good and bad in every group, ethnicity, and gender of all people to single one out is just plain bigotry.
I got you, but there are all sorts of freaks out there in the world, of every make and model, There are also some really cool, down to Earth, loving Christian's as well.

Do you read what's put out here in the topics concerning gays? I see a lot of self claimed Christians make the claim that God hates homosexuals. They also make the claim that the NT calls it a sin when before the revised editions, lying with another man was an abomination, this coming from the OT. I think what Mindblade16 meant is that people who abuse homosexuals do so because they believe God hates fags. Westboro Baptist Church believes God hates fags. They even have signs saying so. You might want to straighten out some of these believers in the bible who make the claim that God hates.

These wars are meaningless.. if you care about the truth, then quit hurling rocks. Everyone is in their own state of spiritual evolution, you can't control others, and it's better not to use others to validate your own views.. so the war is meaningless.

Thats partially the point of this website anonymous. So people can enlighten each other or just express their point of view.
Enlightenment doesn't happen from arguing. Arguing gives each person a reason to close their mind and validate their views despite the truth. Yes this site is useful though.

All modern translations are just that, translations of the thousands of original greek and hebrew manuscripts that have been preserved dating in range from 200AD-450AD.
The translation "nor abusers of themselves with mankind" is a phrase put together from the original manuscript which read "arsenokoit?s" (Greek).
"arsenokoit?s" is defined as follows; "1) one who lies with a male as with a female, sodomite, homosexual"
So to say the modern has added or changed anything is not true. The bible is translated from the original copies preserved from as far back as 200AD. we would not have any translations at all if it were not for these manuscripts.

You are quite right Colleen. Here is the proof from a Modern translation. It is the same in the New King James version favored by the Baptist church. But you will have a touch time trying to persuade the average Baptist because they have been taught that they are already saved and a cut above the rest of us sinners.
