Yes. With DNA today we can identify someone who committed a serious crime, and finally bring them to justice. The system needs to be scrutinized. If the evidence is so shabby why even attempt to convict? Most people in prison belong there but there are innocent people in their as well, mostly the poor without proper representation.

Even with new evidence if, you were charged with the same crime twice that's double jeopardy and I personally believe anything like murder, rape, child molestation, etc. shouldn't have a double jeopardy clause. I don't care how many trials one faces if, you did the crime in these instances you should do the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
