    You'll need to drop your fuel tank to get at the fuel pump. Once you have the fuel tank down, you'll see how easy it is to remove the fuel pump.

    1.
    * 1

    Open the fuel door and remove the screws holding the gas tank fill neck to the side of the body with a 3/8-inch ratchet and a Torx head socket.
    * 2

    Position a jack underneath the gas tank and pump the jack until it touches the base of the tank. Unbolt the tank straps from the side of the frame with the 3/8-inch ratchet, extension and sockets.
    * 3

    Lower the jack approximately one foot or until you can access the top of the gas tank. Remove the fuel lines leading into the tank with a flat head screwdriver. Unplug the sending unit and fuel pump wiring on the top by hand.
    * 4

    Lower the tank all the way out of the underside of the Yukon, making sure that the filler neck doesn't hit the side of the body or catch on the frame. Then pull the tank out from underneath the body of the Yukon.
