If you want to purchase from Amazon with a new card, you need to enter the details while purchasing when you're prompted to. When you go to checkout, in one of the steps you're asked to confirm your credit card. If you don't want to use the card on file, in the same page a little below you will see a form to enter a new card.

Sometimes with new cards Amazon only allows a purchase after the card has been confirmed to be the user's. If that's the case, you will be notified by Amazon.
