My mom and aunt both had one due to very large fibroid tumors,the one my mom had was growing and working it's way up to her back area,she had a complete hysterectomy in October and now she's pain free back to her old self and active and working.Fibroid tumors (benign,cancer free tumors) are a very common reason,but Endometriosis,Uterine prolapse,and Cancer are all reasons for a hysterectomy.
