To sort your emails, you can label and place them in separate folders. How it is done depends on what email client or online service you are using.
Here are two options:
To create personal folders in Outlook (a Windows email client) click here.
To create personal folders in Gmail (a universal online email service): click on 'create new label' in the sidebar to the left. A label is a personal folder. Once you have a list of labels, you can label each and every email in your inbox and sent mail folders, and move them to other folders (labels). Sort them out.
