if your computer is fairly new, delete any references to the printer from your computer. defrag the system and restart your computer. plug in the printer and let your computer search for your printer. it will tell you "I've found a new hardware" or something referring to the printer. it should reinstall from there. if the printer is too old, you will have to contact your printer's manufacturer.
