You can't get rid of your Facebook account unless you LOG IN and delete it. Being you forgot your pass word try logging in again. Facebook will give you the options to retrieve your access by sending a code to the e-mail address you registered with.
You would then cut and paste the code into your log in page and then have to change the password to what ever one you want. Hopefully something you can REMEMBER.
