    When planting out pea seedlings do I nip out the weaker shoots leaving the strongest?

    Only if you plant them extremely close to each other that they will smother each other. I usually plant peas about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch part that way you do not have to thin them out. If you started the seeds inside and are now putting them out, plant all of them that way, even the weakest shoots may make up for lost time and surprise you.
