Could be, but like your other question, you and your partner need to address these issues of concern via great communication.
I found it was always best to acknowledge the effort they put in to the relationship... if/when conversations get heated, always use words like "I understand how you feel"... "so what you're saying is"... "I'm concerned with the lack of communication between us, we need to be honest with each other to better ourselves as a couple"...
Either way, when you argue, don't let it get out of control... go for a walk, calm down then address it again.
