    can you use spainish moss for mulch

    will it harbor insects if it it used around the house?

    First you would need an awful lot of it, mulch is usually laid 2-4 inches deep. Second, it probably has bugs in it or will have and you definitely don't want the bugs eating at your plants.

    It looks nice and I know that sometimes people use it around indoor plants to cover the soil, but am sure it has been treated for bugs and perhaps even sterilized with heat (like in an oven) to be sure it is safe.

    You would also have to climb up about 50 VERY LARGE trees to gather it too.

    Go to the Home Depot and spring for the bagged stuff.
