If you forgot you ipod password, you can try connecting it to its "home computer" and try to reset the password from there, or making a factory reset using this Apple support guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339?viewlocale=en_US
If nothing will work, you can send a message through Apple support and they will contact you.
