      ninnet was right to ask where,

      From the word "attorney" sluffingtisue is American.

      First problem: the questioner may not be in the USA, and different states vary anyway.

      The law in the UK is different... and I'm sure that applies to dozens of other countries.

        If you were represented at the hearing go talk to your attorney.

        If you let the disolution or divorce go by default you should hire an attorny to move for a modification of the decree based on error, changed circumstances or whatever else can be dreamed up.
