      We need to read no further than the first 4 words of the Bible to learn of the claim that, “In the beginning God…” Genesis 1:1.
      The Bible does not begin with a defense of God’s existence, but rather it appears that its author took for granted that everyone would already know that there is a God.
      The word “God” is mentioned 3,954 times in the NIV Bible.
