Another cane toad, I am a cockroach by birth but a can toad by choice, live on Sunshine Coast so g`day. There are two types of home ownership Tennants in common and Joint Tennants. I get them mixed up so forgive me in advance but Tennants in Common means one tennant (Part owner)cannot sell or dispose of property in any way. Joint tennants on the other hand can sell or dispose of their half of property or bequeath it in a will. As i said I get the rules confused but you need to establish which you are Tennants in Common or Joint Tennants. You can do this by looking on the ownership documents if you have them other wise I would suggest you go to any real estate agent and ask them to look up on their computor

I would advise you to go to The Public Curator at your local area court house (you need to make a appointment) in company with the other party and each make a will setting out what is to happen. THIIS IS A FREE SERVICE. I would also suggest you appoint the Public Curator as executor of you will. Why? because the will will be administed without any family arguements by a impartial person. Peggy can`t say I was to get this and Joe say well I thought I was and on and on it goes. There IS A CHARGE for this execution of your will based on the value of the estate but the Solicitor you see will be able to give you the cost on your visit, YOU DO NOT PAY PAY NOW it comes out of your estate when you cark it. Mine is about $2grand. Hope this helps.
