The Porsche 911 GT3 Born at the Nürburgring
The Nürburgring will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027. This historic track, opened in June 1927, is considered one of the world's most challenging circuits due to its 73 corners, extreme terrain, and constantly changing loads.
For Porsche, the Nürburgring Nordschleife has always played a dual role: it is both a witness to Porsche's illustrious motorsport history and a crucial testing ground for production car development. The 12.9-mile track places several times the stress on a vehicle driving one mile on public roads, primarily due to the immense mechanical loads.
Porsche celebrated the Nürburgring Nordschleife milestone ahead of schedule in Zuffenhausen. To commemorate the upcoming anniversary, Porsche Germany will release a limited edition of 100 911 GT3 models. This model combines standard GT features with exclusive design details, paying tribute to the track's history.
This model will make its public debut at the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland race at the Nürburgring in August 2026. Pre-orders will begin in September 2026, with deliveries expected in the anniversary year of 2027. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Inspired by the Nürburgring
Exterior colors are available in white or GT Silver Metallic. White evokes the classic racing car base color, while GT Silver Metallic is inspired by modern single-brand cup cars. A green protective film is applied to the front fascia and rear bumper.
This paint scheme pays homage to the tradition of manufacturer teams using color markings to differentiate their cars during races. The color also echoes Jackie Stewart's popular term "Green Hell."
Other details include green tow rings at the front and rear, and white arrow markings in accordance with motorsport regulations. The classic Nürburgring logo on the front fenders and customizable racing numbers further accentuate the vehicle's appearance. The font design of the numbers is inspired by the graffiti that has long covered the asphalt surfaces of the Nordschleife.
A gold Porsche lettering banner on the windshield helps reduce sun glare. Forged wheels, 20-inch at the front and 21-inch at the rear, are finished in California Gold high-gloss and feature matte black center locks. Anniversary-themed plaques and patterns adorn the B-pillars and below the rear wing.

Black anodized aluminum door sill protectors feature illuminated lettering, and LED projectors display the track outline onto the ground. The roll cage behind the front seats is painted green. The driver's seat features a gradient perforated leather center panel with a subtle green underlay. The driver's side headrest is embroidered with the Nürburgring logo, while the passenger side headrest features the model name. The headrest pads are removable for use on the track with a helmet.
The instrument panel, steering wheel controls, and gearshift lever also feature green accents. Customers can choose between a 7-speed Porsche PDK dual-clutch transmission or a 6-speed sports manual transmission. The gear indicator is also green. Furthermore, the automaker will offer a Manthey Kit to match the body color. This kit includes an improved suspension system, upgraded braking components, and an aerodynamic package that generates 1190 pounds (approximately 540 kg) of downforce at 177 mph (approximately 280 km/h). Owners of this special edition will also have the opportunity to participate in a day event at the Nürburgring, where the Manthey racing team will provide technical explanations. They can also choose to purchase a titanium chronograph watch to match the body color.
This special edition Chronograph 1 watch features a lightweight and durable titanium case with a black finish. It houses a COSC-certified Porsche Design WERK 01.140 movement and features a bilingual date and day display.
