    If two people are arguing and one slaps the other and is arrested what would be the charge?

      It can be simple battery (The uninvited touching of ones person) but, if you've lived together it could be domestic battery/assault a more serious charge.

        it depends on what state you live in. there are several different words referring to "battery". As long as no weapon was used such as a bat, hammer, etc. look it up for your state.
