An AEOW generator uses an electrolysis cell with a diaphragm to separate acidic and alkaline streams. During electrolysis, chloride ions are converted into active chlorine compounds in the acidic solution, creating a low-pH, high-oxidation-reduction-potential (ORP) disinfectant.
