      If you want a completely different card like cancelling visa to go with master card, you have to pay off the total if owing, call and cancel the card, then call the new company asking for their services. If you lost your card follow Garies advice.

        If it's with same company, call them and ask for a new number to replace a lost or stolen card. They will ask you for pertinent information regarding your account and will issue a new card.
