    In order to find out the area of a triangle, you need to find out the height first.  Since the sides are 5 each and the base is 6, the height must be 4.


    Perimeter = 16 or 5 + 5 + 6


    Hence, 4 (height) x 6 (base) divided by 2 = 12.

    I think your ans is correct Chiangmai. you take 1/2 the base which is 3 multiply by the height is 4=12sg
