We say, "I have to get gas". No explanation needed. We all know that that means I'm going to the gas station to put gas in my car.

Gift I Gave: Being James Stacey's Secret Santa is a bit intimidating. Knowing that he's the longest-tenured writer on the team, with many years of experience, I challenged myself to at least try link and pick something that link could impress him for under $50. I looked at his Hodinkee profile link and noticed he's the owner of a 2000's Rolex Explorer II 16570. He appreciates a Rolex, but unfortunately $50 is a bit shy from what I needed for another watch with the same level of wow factor.

Cabriolet link (or concealment) watches are a whole genre that I spend link a lot of time thinking about. It all started a few years link ago when I spotted a Patek Philippe ref. 5099 Gondolo Cabriolet at an auction preview. A pink and white gold square-shaped concealed wristwatch that wasn't getting much attention. But I was fascinated. Was this a watch or a teeny tiny compact mirror?

The Apollo link 11 LEM's landing site turned out to be strewn with boulders and Neil Armstrong had to take manual control of the landing he maneuvered the link LEM to a safe landing site and touched down with less than a minute's worth of fuel remaining. Flight controller Charles Duke radioed "Tranquility Tranquility Base was the name of the final landing site we link copy you on the ground. You got a bunch of guys about to turn blue. We're breathing again. Thanks a lot."
