If it is your country,you must respect that flag,if you are in a country that is not your flag,you still respect while you are there..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

It won't solve anything, but at least no one has to look at their sorry a**es while  the players are disrespecting the flag and  the national anthem.

....our country depends on unity and teamwork as much as a sporting competition 

When Obama visited the UK, the queen gave a banquet in his honour. Unfortunately he gave a toast at the wrong moment, when the national anthem started playing. Every one stood silent except Obama, who continued speaking, until the queen gave him a stern look ,and a sharp tongue stop talking. He looked very embarrassed ,no one else said a word.

It is supposed to revive the economy of the NFL. IMNTBHO, anyone not on the sidelines respecting the flag/national anthem for who and what it symbolizes should not be on the field during the game. 

I am not impressed, especially with the 49ers abstention. 

To me__ If the national anthem is playing___ you STAND and face the flag!!

It sounds sort of like an " Out of sight, out of mind." The optimum occurence  would be to have everyone participate respectfully on the field. Those who would be on the field and disrespectful, would be better off staying in the locker room.
