A statement from the medical community (forget where) stated yesterday that the current flu shot being administered all over North America, is only 10% effective. Not very good odds. Eat right. Exercise daily. Wash your hands often and always do so as soon as you enter your home from outside. All of this should work just as well. I haven't gotten a flu shot in years....had the flu once....the year I got the flu shot! (Sick as a dog.)    lol

Who would shoot 'poison' into their body with those kinds of odds. I guess that possible side effects are not discussed by doctors. There are some, and they can be very serious.

I always get a flu shot after I got the flu about 20 years ago!  Most of these shots are free now so I'll get mine. Whatever you believe Stay healthy

My doctor discouraged getting a flu shot, advocated for a pneumonia shot, and told me, at today's visit, the current flu shot barely lessens the severity or duration of the illness. 

I try to deal in facts, not excuses.

We returned from Europe 2017,we got the flue shot before we left Aussie.after 8 weeks as we were returning to Aussie we both got Influenza A..my wife was hit harder than me.However we may have been in a lot bigger trouble if we had not had the shot..having the flu shot does not mean you will not get it.but it can mean the difference between just getting sick or dying..washing you hands and staying clean does help,but not from the carrier walking through the supermarket and sneezing and coughing into the air..it does not cost us anything to get it,the only way to find out if it did not or did help you is if it kills you..I think i will take the shot..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

That's exactly the problem. No one knows for sure that it even helps. The fact that it's free doesn't mean it's safe.

When I asked Rich to advise on my collection he said I should spend "15000 to 25000 on a nice dress watch."
