I had been touting Santa to my son for weeks and he continued on with a “sure, I believe you(not)”. First Christmas Eve as a wife and mother. Decorating tree at 3 a.m. Christmas morning, husband helping by sleeping in chair nearby. Doorbell rings, followed by knocking! I dived under a table. Turned out to be a soldier who missed highway entrance after getting gas because of thick fog. Got him pointed in the right direction.

The process of making link the dials involved stripping their paint and primer and stamping them link out into watch dials. As the dials are made from steel, they’re quite a bit different from your more typical brass ones. They're five to seven times thicker, Kamstrup told me. Moreover, as link each is individually stamped from salvaged metal, no two are perfectly the same.

Part of what we are seeing this year is link the idea of color being used as currency in the watch space. Even link watches that aren't strictly rainbows seem influenced by the brightening color schemes. There's the MoonSwatch to cite one example. But even IWC a brand I would consider far more conservative in its approach to color is playing link the color currency game. Earlier this year during the Miami Grand Prix they released a Formula One watch in a vibrant turquoise.
