I don't know why they grunt. Does it make them feel more powerful? The women seem to do this more than the men. I personally can't stand to listen to it. It's as annoying as fingernails scratching across a chalkboard or a person smacking their food.

But....If it helps them win the game then more power/grunting to them. :))

In some cases it is similar to a karate when they exercise their Chi power,,Fast cricket bowlers sometimes grunt when they load up to deliver a ball..at least i used to,,but i was not as loud,as karate or tennis sport people..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<
