No I don't think so. I went to Mexico 3 times from Texas & was only asked for my passport once and only then because the border guard picked up on my accent.He mistakenly thought I was British.But just to be sure why don't you call the Dept of immigration? Enjoy the cruise.:)

Your cruise line agent can answer this question. I am cruising from Vancouver to Alaska in September, and I do need a passport. Most cruise lines require a passport.

If you dont plan taking other international travels, the card is a better deal.
