I am in the middle of this!!!

Major snow storm! Snowed all day yesterday, last night and predicted to snow continuously until (Saturday-late afternoon) two days from now! Any of you care to come and join us in the fun? LOL!!

(This is over the top, even for us.)

I am so jealous! Too short notice to come for a visit, but please wish a couple feet of snow our way. Beautiful!

Everything is closed/stopped. Schools, banks, libraries, buses, city hall, offices, arenas, mail delivery, most stores, highways blocked off, etc. Not beautiful...not fun....just ick! (Glad I got groceries yesterday.)

Oh man this happened on the island and we had no power but we had a woodstove! I walked in my Kamuk boots dragging a toboggan and walked for groceries... 4 hours there and back but so quiet and strange and big Trumpeter swans flew over me ... magical really.... 'cept the part about me freezing my keester!!!

My third-grade teacher in Indiana read a little bit to us every day from a paperback book titled, The Trumpet of the Swan. My family had to move back to Texas before my teacher finished reading the book. When I was in my thirties, I checked the book out from the local library and read all of it. It's such a good book and I'm so pleased to have finally put my curiosity to rest. LOL

The weather forecast says you are going to get colder over the weekend cb . it didn't say anything about snow. you usually get some before we do, not much sign of it yet this year though.

You all forgot to mention the aftermath of snow when it melts and turns to slush,. it is a bloody mess give me 35/40C anyytime.

That depends BM. It can go away very slowly with several sunny days in a row. If it goes quickly, with a sudden warm spell and rainy days, you're right. The slush is awful.

Funny you should say that. People were beginning to say that we might be having a green Christmas because we've hardly had any snow at all. But now, I guess we pay! lol

LOL...I doubt snow ice cream is exclusive to Texas. My mom used to add food colouring to mine, it made my tongue blue. LOL

We do not enjoy this kind of snow and will be thankful if it simply stops coming down. The city is paralyzed with everything being closed and cancelled. In some respects, in can be downright dangerous. Hopefully it will not continue snowing as long as first predicted.

Stayed home all day and only went out to brush off my car. It's buried again and supposed to snow all night. It will be interesting in the morning.

We may not have snow, but lower queensland is being bombarded by hailstones the size of golf balls in a storm they are having there, MY STATE HAD IT A WEEK AGO WITH THE HAILSTONES/, NOW JEEP ARE ADV Edit this answer ERTISING their cars cheaply because of hailstone dents.
