Only happens in the USA, or other war torn countries, fortunately, or unfortunately, whatever!

It sounds like the cop should have been given space to talk the suspect down. It seems like he had the situation in hand, if not control.  However, in a domestic situation, how do you really know?

Termination seems harsh. Shooting the suspect in the back of the head seems harsh, too.
