Will you eat your food cold on your plate?

    Or must it be reheated?

....depends on the taste and my mood.

It depends upon the plate.  There are a lot of dishes that have to be served cold, some are room temperature and some should be served hot.

    I imagine I don't understand this question.

I hope this is not a "Pop Quiz".  Cook books are novels for me.

I prefer the food served at its most tasty temperature. I will reheat food rather than eat it cold. Who wants to eat cold creamed spinach?  Well, actually, who wants to eat creamed spinach in the first place.

Uh, it's one of my favorites and I'll eat it cold on the plate but will not dish it up that way......

There's the answer to my question!
    FISH-O

I have never eaten cold or warmed up creamed spinach.

And now, I am allergic to dairy, so that dish is out! :D Yay! ... It does not sound lovely.

    There's a silver lining!

Nuthin wrong with creamed spinach, hot or cold, luv it, as long as there's no cilantro added.
    Bob/PKB

Even cilantro can't resuscitate cold creamed spinach.

I was thinking other ingredients such as bacon, goat cheese and caramelized onions. I would then probably bake it with Asiago cheese on top. ... salt and pepper and I would probably serve it with fettuccini Alfredo which I would jack up with wine. And, some freshly squeezed lemon right before serving.

... I have really got to stop watching cooking programs :D
    Bob/PKB

You, FISH-O, should NOT stop watching cooking shows.
I'm off to watch the newest episode of Food Network Star.
    FISH-O

We watched that last night. I think I can predict who is going to win, but that Italian guy is just too cute for words.

Tregaye is outstanding, but I like Damiani, too. His bakery is about 3 hours away. I might need cannoli someday....
    FISH-O

HIs bakery is that close to you? That would be worth the drive. I imagine his baking is delicious based primarily on how passionate he is about food. (That actually is why I think he has Super Hero qualities, not for how wonderful his accent is or how handsome he is) :D .... (Really, I am telling the truth)

Erin beat him in a baking championship series. Ana is just a blob of nasty and ugly to me. Bye Bye soon, I hope!
    FISH-O

I just saw Erin go last night. ... We may be ahead of you.
    Bob/PKB

We're on the same schedule. The baking championship was a different show. Erin is "only" an outstanding baker. I liked Dom last season for "Star", also Italian, but from Staten Island, NY. Had a mac and cheese food truck in NYC. Everything he made was fantastic. Couldn't handle the camera, though. Martina beat him on the 2nd chance show and came back, but I was glad to see her go, too.

The Nerve Thing would get to me. ... and timing. I plan my meals before 10:00 am. I am literally a nut about ingredients but, that is because I spend my summer months at the Langley market and I get first choice when it comes to produce. Literally, the vegetables are picked in the morning. It is a slice of Heaven. We also live in the middle of fresh food land. It is fantastic. We drive to a farm in Agassi to buy the most delicious goat cheese. All of the animal flesh that is consumed in this house is raised within a short drive away. We have a raised bed garden. ... five and we are building more.

    Good, fresh, non-abused food.

I joke with my friends about competing on Master Chef, they encourage me and then I think, "Oh my goodness! Cameras would be everywhere and I hate having my picture taken in any way, shape or form however, the cooking part would be so much fun."
    Bob/PKB

Go for it, FISH-O! The worst that can happen is Gordon hollers at you. You'll be so focused on food preparation, you won't even notice the camera.

    Gotta be hot I'm afraid.

Food is food,if you are hungry who gives a d***..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

    FISH-O

Food is food. You have to take it seriously on many levels. If you want to just stick things in your mouth without a thought or intention ... I honestly ... sigh. Food is very important. It is nurturing, it is love, it is family and friends and beyond all of that it is memories one creates over a table filled with laughter, delicious tastes, conversation and sometimes music ... food is life.

    FISH-O

That is a very true statement. I shop at farmers' markets and buy local produce.
I take feeding my family seriously. It is a passion.
    I have beautiful friends.
    I am very blessed.

And, today I got a killer deal on fresh picked organic blueberries. yay!
