When I was a teenager I burned up the motor on my grandparents washing machine. My grandmother was teaching me how to wash clothes and explained to me why we must separate, whites, darks, colours and certain types of materials etc.
I was so excited to wash my first load of clothes without assistance that I walked into my bedroom, grabbed all thirteen pairs of my denim jeans then shoved them into the washing machine. Uhmmm, I had no idea 13 pairs of wet jeans would be such a heavy load when wet. The poor thing started screaming and smoke was shooting up all over the place.
I should stay away from motors because I have a tendency to blow them up. LOL

I don't really know and I never thought about it before. My mom reminds my son almost every day of how good I am of taking care of things. Last year I accidentally broke a $150.00 bowl. It was one of my own bowls that I had made. It broke my heart having to throw it away.
A stupid little accident. I was cleaning up in a hurry because we had company coming over. ... dang!

Unlike the original Digitrend this is link a real 23-jewel movement with a 44-hour power reserve beating at 4 Hz. In this first "Take Off" edition the heart of the movement is partially visible through a window in the caseback which feels like the right choice.
