          My husband is pretty darned honest and sometimes to his detriment.

                  children lie the least. little children will tell you the truth even if it's an insult. that's one reason i love kids.

                    ....but then they get to that age when you can't believe anything they say. My 3 year old granddaughter is in the habit of blaming "Not Me" for things....

                    learned behavior. that's what she is seeing and hearing others do and say. i see a lot of small children, say "no" to their parents. i see children under 3 try to hit their parents. you can pretty much guess somebody is hitting that kid. i love this topic, because i love kids and have worked with kids and parents for over 20 years. kids are the greatest imitators and pick up all nuances and put them somewhere in there little brain. but it will come out when kids see they need that speech or behavior. not being judgmental, however, do a little research and you can figure out where that comes from. love to you bob and best wishes.

                    When she says that, I go through the list of siblings, looking for the culprit. At least she doesn't try to pin the blame on one of them.
