if the above doesn't work, disconnect the printer from the computer, delete it from your files completely, defrag your system and restart the computer. then, plug the printer back into the computer. the computer will say it's found a new item and will search to install. WORKS FOR ME..DID IT YESTERDAY.

If you have not used your printer in a long time but the ink is still full then its probably because the ink has dried up around the opening of each colour container so remove them and use a cotton bud dipped in alcohol to clean the dried up ink (thinners or nail polish remover should do ) you can tell if its working as the cotton bud will be stained in the colour of ink but be very careful as its a delicate area that you will be cleaning .
