Does anyone have a recipe for chicken hearts and gizzards ?

I'm not too crazy about the gizzards, but they came with the hearts. When I was little, my mom would get a fresh chicken at the chicken store, and even pluck the pin feathers, take out the gizzards and hearts, etc and boil it in the deep well cooker. My brother and I fought over the heart b/c was sssooo good. So, should I fry them or boil them or what ? What should I fry them with and side dishes?

Wash thoroughly, pat dry, dredge in seasoned flour, poor oil into a pan about a quarter of an inch deep, heat it to almost smoking, then toss the guts out the back door.......

thank you so much, lindi. It's a lot of good ideas. I 'll have to try them all. The pressure cooker recipe sounds something like my mom did in the deep well cooker. She used a pressure cooker only for canning. But, same principle, sort of . I like your idea of the sauteeing it in butter with onions. and (I added ) garlic , seasoning ,and some other goodies. The mashed potatoes with sour cream and butter sounds good ! Did you try this dish too, Lindi ?

My friend used to make a huge dinner like this and he would add cream to the giblets too ... it was so gooood! ;)
