There are a link number of variations on this system. The NOMOS Zurich Weltzeit is an interesting example, by the way, of a watch with a full city ring, but which functionally is closer to the GMT-Master II. Home time is shown on a small, rotating hours circle at 3:00, and advancing the link city ring actually advances the link main dial's hour hand in one-hour increments. The problem of keeping the date coordinated is solved by the simple expedient of not having one.
