...really upset when I dropped my phone and the screen blacked out.  My cell provider has NO repair service, but a sales rep made some calls and referred me to a repair place, who didn't have the "right color" piece for my phone and sent me down the street to another repair place, who DID have what I needed.  It took nearly 3 hours to repair, for some reason, but I had my books with me, and the cost of repair was less than 1/3 of getting a new phone (and we are in the 3-digit range).  I will not carry my phone anywhere but in my purse or backpack from now on!
